By default, port 3306 is closed for external connections, so users cannot connect to the database remotely. However, we can open the port for a specific user if the purpose of this connection does not threaten the security of the server.
You should first contact support and specify this information:
- order number from the "Hosting" section of your personal account,
- the IP address of the remote host and the purpose of the connection,
- a PIN code for support from the Dashboard section.
Then go to the "Remote MySQL" section in the hosting panel.
In the window that opens, specify the IP address of the remote host and click "Add Host".
A little lower on the page you will see a list of hosts that have access to connect to the MySQL databases.
