Domains PP.UA are linked to the phone number. Therefore, it is very important to make sure that you specified the relevant number in the " Registrant" field during the domain registration.
Sometimes there are situations when the number in the account is outdated and you just made an order with the default data and only then noticed that the number is not up-to-date, or you just made a misprint.
Often, we find out that the domain is registered with the wrong number during Telegram activation by receiving a bot response:
Sorry, the domain name DOMAIN.PP.UA can be activated by +380********* only, but you act as +380*********.
What can I do?
If you have an outdated number in the default data, first of all, you need to write a request to support@nic.ua to change the number in your account to avoid such a situation in the future. The process is described more thoroughly here.
You cannot change the number in a domain registration request.
Once you have placed an order, the request is automatically sent to the registry and the domain will wait for activation within 5 days.
After 5 days from registration request, the registry closes it and you can again apply for registration of the same domain with your valid number.
Also, note that you can register a domain with a slightly different spelling on the correct number without waiting 5 days for the registration to be closed.
For example, if you specified an incorrect number in the domain myshop.pp.ua, then you can register my-shop.pp.ua domain without waiting for 5 days.
